A DAY IN ZURICH

A walk around town

A short trip to Zurich. A city I`ve come to love over the past years. It´s so tiny and cosy, but with the feeling of a big city. You´ll find everything you wanna find in a big city. It´s full of an international crowd. Many people who´ve come here for work. Doing international business. Plus the many tourists that come to visit. Passing by you´ll hear all kind of languages. And you´ll see one of the best dressed women around. Definitely one of the most elegant women you can see on the streets anywhere in this world...
...the world-famous Bahnhofstrasse

Of course it´s no big news that all the famous big brands have come to set up a store here in this famous shopping street. Yet the athmosphere is different, more relaxed, but at the same time very chic.
But apart from the well-known fashion companies there are lots of small little boutiques to find. Just strolling thru the windy little roads off Bahnhofstrasse there are many little shops with creative new ideas and great styles on every little corner.
...found my perfect bag, finally!!! Love this little skull bag!!!
After running around for hours I was starving of course. I totally forget to eat whenever I´m in the shopping-hunt-mood.... But luckily I found this cute little coffeshop/restaurant "Juice & salads", just off Bahnhofstrasse, in Augustinergasse. They serve one of the best falaffels with a great fresh salad that I´v ever eaten. Plus freshly squeezed juices. Sooo yummy!!

Summer is around the corner...you feel it and see it all around...

Before I head back home I have to quickly pass by my favourite delikatessen shop on the other side of the river in Niederndorf, "Schwarzenbach". They sell everything from coffees, teas to dried fruits. Every salt or pepper you want, from all over the world. The shop is a must to see... and smell it...!!! Plus the exquisite and friendly help of the sales-personal... I enjoy it every time.

Funny little shops like this one in Niederndorf.... The sign says: "Fresh pears"... It´s a word-game. They actually sell light-bulbs. But in German its the same word for both, bulbs = pears..
After a sunny and almost too hot day it ends with a pretty heavy thunderstorm...
